The detergent compartment was still damp when detergent was added.
Only add the detergent when the detergent compartment is dry.

Detergent residue in the detergent compartment
Detergent residue is left in the dishwasher’s detergent compartment at the end of a programme. The detergent has not fully dissolved.
The middle spray arm is clogged.
Switch the dishwasher off.
Remove the spray arm as follows:
Rotate the screw thread of the middle spray arm clockwise (view from above) and remove the spray arm .
Use a pointed object to push food particles that are stuck in the spray arm nozzles into the spray arm.
Rinse the spray arm thoroughly under running water.
Replace the spray arm and check that it rotates freely.

The lower basket has been loaded incorrectly.
There are large objects (such as pizza dishes) in the lower basket in front of the detergent compartment. The water jets or the lid of the detergent compartment are obstructed.
Load the front area of the lower basket with small items of crockery so that the detergent compartment lid can open and the water jets are not obstructed.
The detergent has not fully dissolved.
Some tabs may not dissolve completely in a short programme.
Use a different programme or a different detergent.
