Fill or insert milk container

Fill or insert milk container appears on the coffee machine display even though the milk container has been filled and inserted.

The milk container sensors may not work properly if they are soiled.

Soiling can cause the coffee machine to malfunction.

Make sure that the opening, the bottle neck and the bottle flange remain clean (both when filling and when transporting the container).

Fill the milk container with milk up to a maximum of 2–3 cm below the rim.

Clean the milk container and the lid of the milk container at the end of each day.

Cleaning the glass milk container:

  • Milk container | Lid | Glass
  • Remove and empty the milk container.

  • Rinsing with water | Lid | Milk container
  • Rinse the milk pipework in the lid under running water and then place the milk container lid in the dishwasher.

  • If no water flows out of the milk pipework (1), dismantle the milk container lid and clean it with the cleaning brush supplied.

  • The lid seal may be damaged.

Do not fit the slanted end of the milk intake tube into the seal.

  • Fit the milk intake tube with the straight end into the seal.

  • Clean the glass container.

  • Use a clean cloth to dry all parts, paying particular attention to the threads on the lid and on the glass.

Cleaning the stainless steel milk container with handle:

  • Milk container | Handle | Stainless steel
  • The stainless steel milk container with lid must be cleaned by hand using hot water!

  • Please clean the stainless steel container with hot water after use to remove any residual milk.

  • Rinse the handle under running water and then clean it thoroughly with a clean damp cloth to remove any milk residue.

  • If the milk pipework in the lid is clogged, please clean it under running water using the cleaning brush. To do this, insert the cleaning brush into the milk pipework and move it back and forth as far as it will go until all milk residue has been removed.

  • Take particular care when cleaning the handle, intake tube and thin metal rod between the tubes. Rinse the tubes under cold running water. Then leave the tubes to dry.

  • Check whether the gold contact on the right-hand side of the door (milk jug opening) is clean. Clean the gold contact if this is not the case.
